On the 3rd of September in Orlando, Florida
a New TOL Janome sewing and embroidery machine was launched called the Janome Horizon Memory Craft 12000 and I was one of the lucky one's to be there. The Janome Horizon Memory Craft 12000 is the next new addition in the line of the well know Memory Craft range. The Janome MC12000 combines sewing and embroidery all in one machine. From first viewing this machine the first thing I noticed was how much light that this machine gives out the MC12000 has a large selection of 10 built-in LEDs lights located in 5 locations. There is also a pull out light called the Retractable High Light™ which is able to be tilted onto your work area. The lights have been combined in sections which can be turned on or off individually depending on your preference.
The lights on the MC12000 really show off the 15' stainless steel plate along the long sewing arm that measures an impressive 280mm (11') long to the right of the needle ideal for large quilts, bridal dresses and for those bigger home furnishing projects.
When sewing, the Janome MC12000 machine has an impressive sewing speed of up to 1000 spm. Janome have overloaded this machine with many great new features including 9mm width of stitch, 91 needle positions, Detachable AcuFeed Flex™ Layered Fabric Feeding System, Adjustable AcuView Magnifier™, Variable Zigzag via the knee lifter, Auto presser foot lift and just to top it all off Janome have also created the Amazing Stitch Composer™ that allows you to create original stitches from scratch using your pc or take existing stitches and alter them needle-drop by drop. It also has all the usual Janome computerised features plus over 400 built in stitches to keep you entertained.
If you love free motion sewing, there’s an automatic fabric thickness sensor and you can use the knee lifter to vary the width of zigzag stitches . This machine also comes with the New Detachable AcuFeed Flex™ feet and lots of quilting attachments including a large clear acrylic extension table for those larger projects.
When it comes to embroidery Janome have created a new Sleek Linear Motion Embroidery System™ that is a sleek detachable embroidery unit that attaches to the back of the machine which when opened provides a massive embroidery area. This detachable embroidery unit allows you to use frames of up to the largest of the Janome hoops available for this machine of 230mm x 300mm. Janome have also added Real-time PC connection with Horizon Link™ the touch screen is certainly large enough to do on screen editing. But if you want a view that's much larger than any sewing screen can offer, connect the machine to your PC via Janomes exclusive Horizon Link™. Now you can create and edit embroidery designs and stitch combinations on your computer with your mouse - anywhere, anytime. The Janome Memory Craft 12000 is crammed full of over 300 wonderful designs including lace, animals, floral designs, quilting designs and lots lots more there is something for everyone.

of embroidery area. It includes special magnets to aid in fabric stability. Our square
hoops have always been popular because most embroidery designs fit in a square,
and quilt squares are - you guessed it - square. The SQ Hoop has been expanded
to SQ23, 230 x 230mm (9.1' x 9.1') and there's also an SQ14 square hoop
140 x 140mm (5.5' x 5.5'). The Free Arm Hoop FA10, 100 x 40mm (3.9' x 1.6')
allows you to embroider on cuffs, sleeves and other hard-to-reach places.
